Nothing tonight for me, wind was all wrong, I'm sure was the main factor. Very windy an warm too, that was not my most favorable weather conditions either. O well tomorrow is another day. Boar

It was very warm sitting in the stand but we did see a 2 year old boar come in around 6:00. My brother decided to pass but I did manage to get him on film. It never even touched the bait but instead it came in to the smell of the burner. We heard a few shots ( a couple shots were pretty close)and we talked to 3 guys hunting the same area and they all shot bears. They said that 2 of them shot average bears and one guy shot a "small one". I didn't think we had that much "hunter competition" but I guess we should have it to ourselves now. Congrats to the guys that got bears!

Hey bro, do ya even have to ask if I'm ready HA!. Went in tonight about three, man thats a long sit, temps started to cool down nice, wind was right, with just a nice breeze out of the north west, figured i hit the mony shot tonight, stayed till I could'nt see the bait pile anymore an nothing showed. Bummed a little, but thats why we call it hunting an not killing. Found out too there is a far more bear hunters in my area than I thought, talk to a local who was out about a mile north of me, he sounded not to gunho about it an might not hunt much more, good for me. The he pointed out so an so is over there, he's over there, an that guy is over there an somebody is over there. I'm not worried I'm back off from every one of them deep down in the bottoms. I do think I'm gonna hold of with the hunting pressure till it cools down though, gonna keep the bait pile active with just some nibblets to keep them intersted an hunt hard when the weather is consistantly cooler. I think its suppose to start this coming weekend into the lower 60's We'll see what happens. Congrats to those who bagged one, wish it was me. Boar

Good job. You deserve it. Harvesting a bear is not that easy. Keep it up. Have a bear steak for me.

Here is a story I wrote a few years ago when I had success at something I really like to do.
