Minor Leaguers and Rondell White

Everytime they bring Rondell up, the Twins loose. In my opinion he can't hit the ball, he can't throw the ball or can he catch the ball. In addtion he takes at bats away for younger players who can. It would be different if he was blasting the ball and just had minor setbacks but the guy is trying to hold onto something he lost and the Twins are suffering because of it. How woud you feel if you put in all the time and came up thru the ranks and are knocking the dump out of the ball and the organization benches you for this load just so he can get an at bat and when he does he hits into a double play or strikes out. blush.gif Last year when they brought him up it seemed to me that the players that got them to the playoffs just quit, saying, I was here all year busting my a$$ and now you bring in this load to take my job. I know what I would have said fudda youse. shocked.gif

Do we have anyone who has been hitting the dump out of the ball that could take his place? If so I haven't seen them.

I don't like White in there he just doesn't have it anymore but honestly we are getting short of viable options out there. If Mauer was healthy Redmond would be the DH but now that he has to catch everyday who else is there really.

Well he's still only hitting .265, which is a far cry from pounding the ball.

Also I don't think they will bring up a potential center fielder of the future if they plan on trying to sign Hunter. If they bring Span up it would go along way in telling Hunter that he isn't needed around here.

They did approach him with an offer but Hunter didn't want to look at it right now. From what I have heard is the $$$ per year is in the right ball park but he is looking for a little longer deal.

I have heard many rumors also and contradicting rumors as well.

Hunter has said he would turn down a bigger cash offer from another team as long as the Twins lock him into a real long term deal, one that would allow him to retire here. Noone wants to play in this new stadium more than him. As far as offering him a contract- I though Ryans always stated the Twins never do that during the course of a season
