It's on the charger as we speak and I can't wait to use it this weekend. Is there anything I should know about the unit like settings or anything before I go out tomarrow. I don't know if my transducer puck will be in tomarrow, but if not I'm going to hang it over the side of the boat till next weekend when it comes.

Make sure to give you're manual a quick read through. Especially when it comes to zoom feature.

My best tip is use it, use it, use it! Get a feel for it and try all of the features that thing has to offer, even if you don't know why you'd use it. Keep the bottom of the transducer in as good of shape as possible; I still put it in a small bag before stowing it in the case.

get one of those foam floats for the transducer, ive heard those arms can be a pain when landing fish.

I have lost way less fish using an ice arm than when I used to have the float in the water. But that is just me.

Well I got out this weekend caught alot of fish but not because of my LX-5 Scheels didn't get my transducer in. I played with it on the boat, but to difficult without the transducer so I use my Vex 8se. I fish alot in the shallows so that didn't help except for reading the depth. They will have it in next week so I'll use it next weekend.
