Poor little birdie.....and poor little fishy...

Took my son and his buddy out to a lake to catch a few bass and here is what they came up with Saturday evening.

Some hungry fish in that lake. Sheesh.

I few weeks ago one of my kids caught about an 8in perch with a craw tail sticking out. I pulled out the craw and it was 3.5 to 4 inches long. You would be surprised how big of forage a fish can eat relative to its size.

Can anyone figure out what kind of bird that bass ate? Those are some pretty huge claws/nails on that bird.

Its a bald eagle, you can tell by the talons

I was thinking it was a green heron.

Maybe a young one??

A full grown one would choke a 10 lb bass to death.

it is some sort of water bird but not waterfowl. Yes could be a green heron but my guess is a snipe, or sand piper or swamp gallinules or something like that. If i had to guess.
