Northlander
Hey all you fellow Walleye fans whats your favorite jigging spoons and wich ones do you use at what time of year.I have been using them more and more the past few years. Winter of course but they are becoming a go to lure for me at many different times of the year. Spring and fall especially. Some of my favorites are the Northland Buckshot Rattle spoons, Little Cleo's, Bigger Angel Eyes and a few others I forget the name of right now.I am also using the Nils Master Jiggin Shads and Bigger Jigging raps and doing ok on them as well. Most of the time Im fishing big sharp breaks and inside bends but a few deep weed edges are also panning out.Lets hear everyone elses favs and techniques. Team Otter
I'm definitely a Buckshot fan but some others that I really like are Cicada and Kastmaster.
PerchJerker
Northland makes a spoon I like a lot, can't remember exactly what it's called though .... maybe a forage minnow???
tunrevir
Depending on depth and if current is a dfactor, I like a variety as well. Summer-fall I really like the cleos, hopkins rattler spoons, angel eyes, and have even had some success with krocs. Winter I like the angel eyes, pimples, kastmasters, smaller cleos and anything else shiny with hooks that resembles a spoon that I can pick up at the bait store and try out . Mike Walerak
I use the Jigging Raps quite often when the fish are suspended just before ice up. I even hang my Marcum tranducer over the side of the boat and use that instead of my liquid crystal graph.I have not done this in quite some time though since it has been a while since I lived where this pattern exists. I just have not been able to duplicate it at all. Are you guys fishing suspended or on the bottom? mw
Northlander
Mike for the eyes usually bottom but at times in the deeper water on sharp breaks like channel edges I do get a few up higher. This is also great for suspended crappies in the fall with smaller spoons. Your right about that Marcum over the side or on the bowmount. Its great to be bale to see your lure and the fish coming up to smack it in real time. This has also worked well on the Rainy River in the Fall. Jim Hudson
SteveFor jigging spoons... I have used most all that have been listed with some sort of success... But after using the new Lindys Rattln Flyer Spoon last winter during it's prototype stage, I think we will have a new winner in the jigging spoon category.. Winter, spring, summer, and fall.. Will be out for sale this fall.. Watch for em..
Team Otter
I won't be up in that direction until early to mid-November. Mille Lacs and Gull are calling in October and into the first part of November.

Team Otter
Definitely need to hook up. Perhaps a St. Louis trip in the spring and then a Mille Lacs trip in the fall?
Northlander
Sounds like a plan. Trolling on Lake Superior can be great at times too.
