Some friends and I were discussing this over the weekend. In our opinion, fishing is over until September/October for the fall walleyes, then we have deer season, and finally, ICE ICE BABY!!!!!

I live in the south metro and I have been out mid December, or earlier, the last 2 years. You can call me crazy but I won't go out on under 4 inches. I have a few early lakes that stay out of the wind and freeze up early that I go to each year.

stay on shore until jan that way the lake stays quiet for me during the month of dec......looking back at last year I was out on dec 8th 06.......I am also very cautious and don't go out unless there is a good solid sheet of ice to walk on.....to each there own

I was putting steel siding on a shed the last few days. How I get myself into these things is unblielveable. Winter won't get here soon enough.

Lets not hurry away the summer. The fishing to date has been great and as soon as its 30 below we will all be asking for summer. Funny how that works.

90s and humid .its always 70 in the fish house ,with the grill outside ,a cardgame inside,i cant wait untill hardwater is back
