Heron Rookery.

The lake I was fishing on over the weekend had a Heron Rookery on it. It sounded like the Jurastic (sp) Park in there and everybody was in on the action. Eagles, Buzzards and Crows were flying around constantly - looking for a meal I suppose. Anyhow here's a few shots, not all real clean, but from the boat I was as close as I could get.

Hey man, you have some great photos there. I just love the bald eagle taking flight. What lake were you on? Was the fishing as good as the photography?

XT - I was on Rush Lake by Cambridge, MN finding a few bass, not as many as I would like but some nice ones. Seems to have a good pike population.

As soon as I read that I thought you were talking about Rush Lake. I've never heard sounds like that before. I told my buddy we must be in the Amazon!

Nice shots!! Have a Heron Rookery next to my cabin on Pike Bay. Man do those things make one hell of a racket at night. Some crazy sounds.

Great photos, just wondering was the eagle photo shot on or near the rookery and if so do the eagles eat or bother the herons?
