I'm sure all of you who were here clamoring for the Hendrick cars to get this just haven't made it here to post yet that Vickers' car and crew chief better get the same penalty. I know no one was just bashing the Hendrick car and drivers, so I'm sure you'll all be here trumping for the same sanction again because really its just "got to be fair" and that's what Jr.'s COT penalty was...

Nah, give the Toyota boys a bone. I hope they don't come down hard on them...they've had a tough time already. Besides, they need all the help they can get to be competitive.

I would say that jeff is right if you set a example and now have a couple of case's where you have enforced the same rule's the fine's need to be the same.

Aww, come on Harvey...the bait was sitting right there ready for the hookset. grin.gif

They won't get the same penalties though from what they said this morning. They had a height issue and according to NASCAR that is not a COT issue, so the standard penalty will be given for height infractions as they have in the past.....not the 100/100/$100K

Sorry Lawdog. Nice try though!

equal fine! if it was Kenseth I would be mad...mad that he cheated and mad that he lost 100 points. They also need to start up a "3 strike" rule. what do you all think about a 3 striker rule?

I believe that three strikes and your out for a few races would be fine. Thats the only way they will stop all the cheating. Fines do nothing and the points dont seem to bother them that much either or they would not continue to do it.

I dont believe NASCAR will ever stop teams from race day. Too much money to be lost and thats what itys all about.

I believe that you will see the penalties getting harsher every COT violation from here on out. NASCAR will get sick of all rule bending. They stated at the start of the season they were going to be tough on COT violations and they will get tougher and each penalty will start to get more severe.

Whether it be JR, Gordon or anyone else, the hammer is going to faLL. THE ONLY QUESTION MAY BE, WHO WILL BE NEXT?

Not that it matters because it will NEVER happen ummmm this isn't the NFL drug testing policy here this is RACIN, 3 strikes would be even more ridiculous then all of the stupid penalty's, fines and suspensions that have taken place this year including Kenseths, Jrs, Hendricks and others its a joke what Nascar is doing "IROC" and its ruining the sport.

if "you ain't cheatin,' you ain't tryin.'" Welcome back to the beginning of time in stock car racing.

Too low after qualifying and repeated attempts at going through the sticks. They took away his time and since he's out of the top 35, that means he went home.

Kyle Busch and Sauter's cars were found to be too low in post-race inspection as well. Nothing else was said but if they are penalized we'll most likely find out tomorrow.
