JP Z
Very nice. Wish I could fish more, but need to fix my motor now.....curses!
Hotspotter
I slowed down Esboldt with all the pike hookups and dogfish fighting. Here I go out and fish with the deep-water people's-champ, and we fish docks. Meanwhile, Deitz fills the boat out deep. I will say, Ray skips a bait like it were the world's flattest rock. Central Bassman
isnt it hard to drop shot in Minnesota?? with all the weeds??
Deitz Dittrich
well my dear friend Mr.CB, there is a lot of water past the weedline. The weedline in the lake we were fishing was in about 11 feet at the very most.. I was fishing deeper than that. The drop shot is a great rig.. be its friend! To add to that.. you can drop shot in weeds as well.. which is very effective. I have even flipped a drop shot in slop areas. Think outside the box! Fever
Deitz, quick question... About how long of a drop? (line length from your weight to your bait of choice?) Nice work tuesday...! Those numbers are impressive. Spose you don't want to give out any gps cordinates on that one huh? Later... fever
EBass
Wow Dietz - that's quite the bag there. Ok so if you're off the weedline what were you casting to. I tied up a drop shot last night and has some sunnies slam the senko, but only got bass bites on topwater, and missed most of them and lost 2 since i'm talking about it. I have to learn how to fish deep, but I really suck at it and have no confidence in it. Also, do you have an aqau view?
Deitz Dittrich
E-bass, I was throwing at rock.. quite a ways out past the weed edge. Yes I have an Aqua-Vu, and would not be half the deep water angler I am without it. How do you think I found the rocks out past the weed edge? EBass
Aqua view - nuff said. Those MAV's are sweet!
RK
Hiya - I just got a MAV not too long ago. Been having fun with it for sure. Really neat to be able to drop it down and see what's really down there. A real eye-opener sometimes. Plus they're a fish-caller too. I drop mine down on a rock pile and clunk the weight off the rocks a few times, and the smallies paddle over to see what's making the noise. Usually doesn't take long before one's bumping the camera with his nose... Cheers, Rob Kimm
