Jr. to make annoucement?

I almost got to believe that the Jr. fans will blow a head gasket if this deal is true. There probably isn't one southern diehard Jr. fan that loathes the Hendrick organization, much less Gordon himself. It would be a good move for Jr. though. Heck, any move to Hendrick, Gibbs or Childress is a good move for him. We'll see what happens, but I'm laughing pretty hard inside. Who would'a thunk it!?!

Of course nothing is a forgone conclusion, but I do think you are underestimating how well Jr. could and will do.

Oh, I dont believe that there is any doubt that Jr will do the best he ever has in Cup. With pretty good team mates along with Jeff, the plate races and also the COT race should go almost all to Hendrick. Hendrick Motorsports will be a force to reckon with even then more than now.

They are the best team out there hands down this season. The only questions I have is, how will the other teams compete with this team?

Jr has now placed himself with better everything as far as racing goes. Team mates, equipment and skilled crew and crew chief along with shop staff. on his team.

Jr has nowhere to go but higher in the standings. I do wish him well.

One cannot put any blame on Jr for wanting to find a better home and furthering his career. I personally dont care for the move to Hendrick but, for Jr, this will be a great move as he will now have great cars, and equipment.

I would guess that most drivers in Cup today would say yes to drive a Hendrick car.

you have to be a fan of the driver not the owner. Like when martin drove for roush. I liked martin but don't like roush. just like I liked gorden since he was in bush. I still don't care for hendrick but then again who likes the guys with the most money and resources. just think if they would cap r&d and make every team equal. then that would be fun.

It will be down to a few teams if NASCAR doesnt stop a few bigger team as they will find a way around the rules. Money talks in racing and its to bad.

Big money teams keep the sport interesting. Baseball without the yankees? Basketball has taken a nose dive since the Lakers, Celtics have gone away. People want to root for an underdog and you can't have an underdog without a Jeff Gordon.

Everybody keeps talking about how much money Henrick has. How do you guys think he got it? By running in the back of the pack? No, he got it by being good, getting good people and running up front on TV. It's not like he has a money tree in the shop or anything, he just hires the right people to do the jobs needed. He's just better with the money than the other owners.

Maybe one should do a search in regards to the charges that were filed agaisnt Rick Hendrick a few years back. That should explain how he got much of it.

Wow! I've never liked the hendrick team, but that is probably because i don't care for Jeff Gordon. Now I Really don't like Hendrick. I think Jr. made a good decision though, because yes, Hendrick has the most money, and of course along with money comes the best cars.

Hendrick is a crook but he was pardoned in December 2000 so the point is pretty moot.

I agree he was pardoned for it but, that doesnt mean he didnt do it or was not guilty. Usually if not always an outgoing President will pardon wealthly or other people that are or were guilty.
