I am bit suprised by the lack of attention to the solistice deal...seems this would be a real pain in the but...I am hit or miss, as I some family bussiness to tend to on Saturday in Austin-who knows though....

I hope to make it,

jk

what solstice deal? Is that the Art thingy?

If you mean the weather or moon phase...I have yet to have the weather hamper my fishing plans grin.gif

JTK is talking about the art/music festival going down on Sunday at Land of Memories park. Shouldnt be too bad since the majority of people will be there on Sunday for that, but campsites might be an issue for those who want to camp Sat. night. Stam is gonna try to get a campsite or maybe two Thursday so we will have a place to sit and talk Sat afternoon.

Is anyone going to be around for breakfast on Sunday morning? I got vacation time off to be there but I want to know whether its going to be worth it to bring my camp kitchen and the food. Last year only two of you showed up.

SHOW OF HANDS'how many will be there for breakfast?????

Bob "stam34" got a campsite next to the boat landing and he is also grabbing the site right across from him so there will be an open site for who ever needs it. It doesn't have electrical but it has shaded spots for a few tents. The sites with electrical are out in the open and with the heat this weekend I think the shade will be a nice thing to have.

Who's showing up tonight?

It sounds like there is only one possible for being around for breakfast on Sunday. It really wouldn't pay for me to pack my camp kitchen and the fixings and travel all that way. Besides, my boat ride cancelled so I wouldn't have any way to get on the water. Good luck with the cats, guys. Maybe next year.

Sounds like you had good eats last year. I think the biggest problem is that breakfast time for catmen on the weekends is about noon (or later) grin.gif

oh yeah, PG, Ed and I should be there around 5:30 or so, and if anyone would like a shower to cool off in the heat, just be sure to anchor up in our spot and we'll take care of the rest cool.gif

Darren, the spot we fished last year was good for only one run tonight for 3 guys and 6.5 hours. Pretty sloooow.

Yeah it was slow, but I still enjoyed fishing with you Tom. Thanks again.

I guess we'll just have to make up for that tonight wink.gif

I second that. Thanks for the outing Tom. Even though we didn't land a fish, I still learned a thing or two.

I'll practice my "trailer-launching-in-total-darkness" so I'll be better prepared for the next trip. crazy.gifcrazy.gif

Thanks again Tom!!

Just want to say thanks to Rob and Hanson for putting these cat guys together for an outing. I had a great time meeting everyone and I would especially like to thank Kyle for his awesome job of running that boat up (and back to get Hansons warm clothes he forgot at camp) and back up again and then back down at 3:15 in the morning through the fog. You are the man Kyle and your little brother Chris sure can catch the flatheads.

Four fish made it to the boat last night weighing from 7-13 pounds. A lot of runs too. Missed quite a few of them.

What a cool river. I really gotta get back that way soon.

Another great night on the river. Catching was mediocre at best, but the fishing is always good. We waited out the storms that had a lot more bark than bite.

Nice seeing everyone again!
