i'majigger
What's the deal now with the DNR asking if we used a GPS system for fishing the last year? Maybe they lost interest in the underwater cameras and now figure the GPS will cause an over harvest of fish!!
Guest
Last year I was asked if I ever fished for and/or caught a muskie. I am guessing they have random survey questions so they can compile some stats.
hawksguy
hey, they asked me if I fished in any tournaments last year. its like best buy asking your zip code when you buy something. i always give them my old zip from the Air Force in California. Haha.
metrojoe
I always remember to get my new fishing licenses. In fact I bought them last week. It's those darn tabs for my car I always forget. My buddy was asked if he fished for or caught bass last year and I was asked if I fished for or caught walleye last year. Guest
Don't be surprised if you get on more mailing lists -- the DNR and other state agencies sell lists to various commercial enterprises. "Do you fish muskies?" Answer yes and you might hear from Suick or Eagle Tail or Muskie Hunter.
tonka
i'm thinking of buying a lifetime license this year. it's basically paid for in 20 years. as long as you don't plan to move out of mn i think its a great deal, esp. for like a 16 year old kid. Thumper
Pulled up the new regulations on the net and noticed the senior rates were still $6.50, thought they were to increase this year? Just curious.
loadmaster
Bought a hus/wife sportsman/trout stamps/ice shelter, just about had to take out loan. My question is was does the trout stamps only show up on the person that is using theur drivers lic. My wife has no way to prove that she has a trout stamp a littlw worried when she fishes on Lake Superior without me. Maybe should have donated the 4 bucks fro that stamps (what a scam)
Guest
Bought combination(husband/wife) sportsmans lic. and fish-house lic. and it cost the same as it did last year! Now is that a good deal or what...still under $50!
Ely Lake Expert
Tonka, You are definaltely right about the deal on the lifetime sportmans license. If you stay around it is well worth it. I am actually gonna buy one this year.I saw that there is a lifetime deer license too. Do you know how much that costs?Ely lake expert
Bryce
Don't have regs in front of me to quote hard copy but am sure life time license is good for life even if you move out of state. Great gift idea for the young ones we all know.
