Anyone else up late working on boat?

Question

I sure am. I am going cat fishing this weekend with a couple of buddies. It is weird, how every year when you open your boat for the season you find a ton of things to do. By the ever growing list of post's that is impossible to keep up with, many people are getting boats ready. I can not begin to list thing's I have done to boat this week. Well, I rewired a new master switch panel. I cleaned battery cable end's and sealed. I did full tune up and fluid changes to motor, charged batteries, put new tires I had on. Repacked wheel bearing’s, fooled around with a trailer running light ground issue, some what cleaned boat (I figure going to the river does justify full cleaning) and much more I will not list. When opener comes, all problems seem to work out. Oh! I did do test run on local lake with the kids yesterday. Every thing worked out great. I think I am ready with boat, close to a month before opener this year. I am proud of that. Not every year it happens this way. Well going to head to bed and let the battery charger do the rest of the work for tonight. Good luck wished upon all who are going out this weekend.

Dream's do come true. This is America! I have had good luck buying a cheap boat and fixing up over the years. If you work twords it, it will come true. Every one who fishes need a boat (of sort's). I shore fish just as much as boat fish, but perfer boating way more. Buy a cheap boat and every year do something to it. In about 8-9 years, you will have a great boat (if they do not outlaw 2 strokes). If this occurs buy a 4 stroke for it. Good luck and hope you full fill your dream.

I thought cleaning the garage was part of the whole getting your boat ready process. You know - clean/organize the garage so you can get to the boat and get it ready for the year laugh.gif

Got mine home two days ago, and I've been up til 1am organizing, installing/moving new and old fishfinders, connecting batteries, cleaning terminals, oh the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on shocked.gif. But I love every minute of it as I'm sure the rest of you do as well. Only a couple more things left to do, and she's ready to go. I might even be able to get the boat out tomorrow, the ice is just about gone.

A clean garage is good for your hart and soul. My life seems to run smoother, the cleaner my garage is. My garage is the most center point of my house. It is my office, my work shop, my repair shop, my fab shop and my entertaining area for guests. Mostly the one's who smoke and drink (card games and in-laws). I love my garage and if you love something you treat it good. Thanks for the compliment!
