No, I did'nt know that.I'm betting on a Chevy, and momentum.IMO, Of the Chevy drivers, Gordon has the most momentum. Even more than Johnson. Dog, I know he's due, just putting the info out there, along with there never being a repeat winner there either. I do believe that Gordon will be the only driver in history to have won at every venue on the schedule when his career is over.

JohnMickish
I was watching ESPN2 today and they said that Toyota built (not MWR) a car with all sorts of Toyota technology just for Mikey and this weeks race at Texas. I don't care how famous you are, but, how bad do you have to suck at driving to get that kind of attention? I could all be for nothing as it's supposed to rain tomorrow and if that happens Mikey goes home, agian.

jbell1981
In our fantasy league, if qualifying gets rained out, they do not award bonus points.

JohnMickish
NASCAR does another step in giving Toyota another advantage. Because of the weather today NASCAR postponed qualifying in order to add another practice, giving the new teams more of an advantage. Mikey was still last on the charts. LMITOUT
I was wondering about that myself. I don't remember qualifying being postponed such as it has today to such a degree. Typically they call it fairly early and call it a day. Seems like they are trying awfully hard to get this one in. Even so, mnfishinguy is correct....the #55 Napa, Dominos, Burger King, ABRA auto body shop, Zima, Dewy-Screw'm-& Howe Law Attorneys, Camry was at the tail end of the field. I think Mikey picked up a couple new sponsors this week.
lawdog
Qualifying CANCELLED, load up that junk Mikey!!!!Regardless of which way they did this, Mikey was going home... He was over a second slower than the fastest practice times.

LMITOUT
To somewhat put the practice speeds in perspective, Jimmie Johnson was in 24th place and 3 tenths behind 1st. Waltrip was in 51st and 3 tenths behind 50th!
fishonnopeoff
OK, so I have to ask......Why are you guy so anti-Mikey?
JohnMickish
Because he is a fake "I'll do anything for money" kind of guy. He left a fairly decent team (the only team he has won with) to be where he is today. I think I speak for most of the people here saying that he is getting exactly what he deserves. I doubt that many people out there have any kind of respect for him anymore. Don't you just love a good rain in the springtime!
ricbak
Well first off I don't think most people really dislike Mickey, he has been a clean driver over the years and he is a pretty good TV personality spokesman and all. But I will agree that his on track performance is well below average at best and as far as respect goes well he hasn't really earned that either. He was able to get in with Toyota and help bring them into nascar but how long can his ride last? We will have to wait and see I guess.
JohnMickish
I thought I would outsmart all of you today and pick Regan (who's finishes have surprized me this year) for my C list driver. I thought for sure after the way he drove yesterday today would be good for him. Not so.
