This may be old news and may have been posted on here already and if so my apolgizes however it is worth another look. i however just got this in an e-mail and thought you would enjoy it. i guess it was caught on good ol rainy.

54 inch, 44 lbs Northern - Hit on a 10 lbs Northern

Just a tank. And the reason we didn't catch him is cause we weren't trolling a ten pound northern for bait.

The two photos are unrelated.

The bottom photo is a pike from Holland caught by Ewout Blom in March of 2006. 127cm and 19.4 kilos, which works out to right around 50 inches, and just barely shy of 43 pounds...

The top photo has been floating around for at least a couple of years.

There are several more photos of the Dutch fish, plus a bunch of other BIG Dutch pike, in the fall issue of The Next Bite - Esox Angler Magazine.

RK, are you sure you have your facts straight? I've received 634,298 e-mails saying that big gator was caught on Rainy/LOW/Devil's Lake/Upper Red!

I agree..I have also got about 6 million FW of these Pics. On a funny note, I was at a bait shop in Baudette a few weeks back and they even had the pic posted on their board! The clerk said he heard it was caught on Rainy.....I almost fell over

Add "fw" to the filters/email rules. Anything with "fw" goes to trash.

In 14+ years, I have yet to see a forwarded email that was worth the bandwidth that it took to get it to my trash.

The sad thing all the pics are truly awesome photos, too bad they had to come to light this way.
