Bears Fans, You're Not Alone....Who's Out There

lots of luck

Everyone has a better chance than the Queens.

But for the Bears, they were good in the begininng of the season and went downhill since midseason even thou the record doesnt say it. They got really really lucky a few times and I see them going 1 and done in the playoff's. After watching the Packers defense take care of poor old Grossman (this guy is horrible) they do not have a chance to win it all.

Oh Packers (8-8 2nd) Vikes (6-10 3rd), I like saying that because EVERYONE thought the Queens would finish ahead of the Pack, nice New Years present.....

Yea,I agree.Grossman did stink the place up last night, and Greezy didnt fair any better.Im not sure how this is gonna play out cause the NFC as a whole is terrible.I just gotta hope the Bears can stumble their way thru and all AFC teams lose ten players per team in the playoffs, that still may not be enough. The pack played good at the end of the season, but I wonder if number 4 is gonna hang it up.Sounded like he is getting tired of the prep work to play in the interview last night. If he does, what will Madden have left to talk about other than Those kinds of things.

I'll cheer for a team in the division(except the Viqueens) and would love to see da Bears kick butt this year but I see them going down in the playoffs. The offense will fail them at crunch time.

My own quote from a while ago...I hope da Bears go all the way but I still don't think its gonna happen - the QB(no names blush.gif) stinks real bad. Later.

I was listening the other day to the Packer pre game show on the Fan and they played a song , don't remember the exact title but it went something like " the bears still suck " , over and over again . I hate the Packers but sure do love their choice in music . And by the way ... its VIKINGS - learn to spell .

Well, while we are quoting ourselves now...

---- revenge for that opening season 26-0 shellacking.

PS to bury means they would have to score more than the other team - not gonna happen this time, methinks.

Oh yeah, and

Windy, what was it that Rodney was saying????? (don't give me any of that check the standings crud either!)

Geno,

You're right and I am wrong. I humbly apologize and wish you and your Packers good luck in the playoffs....OOOOPPPS!

ZING!

Windy LOL (noted that my beloved could once again wear the "One and Done" hat but at least they will have it on their heads for one more week than the Pack and the Queens for that matter)

Yes, at least.

Now to fill you in on another conversation I had:

A buddy was trying to convince me the game meant more to the Pack than the Bears 'cause he says by beating the Bears then the Pack could feel good about their season.

I said, using that logic, the Packers must have been feeling good about their season for many years now.

Nyuk, nyuk.

Grossman is a true leader!! Breaking news!!

Bears quarterback Rex Grossman says he learned an important lesson by not giving it "100 percent" while preparing for Chicago's regular-season finale against the Green Bay Packers last Sunday.

The lesson?

"In this league, especially at this position, you have to bring it every single week, no matter what," Grossman told the Chicago Sun-Times for Thursday's editions. "And the situation was I felt like I was going to play about a half, and it was the last game, it was New Year's Eve -- there were so many other factors that brought my focus away from what is actually important, and that's something that I am never going to do again.

"There is too much I am responsible for to not give it 100 percent during the week and just the full attention," Grossman said. "It's another lesson."

In the grand scheme of things, the game meant little -- at least to the Bears, who'd already clinched home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

Grossman, whose inconsistent play during a 13-3 season has fueled talk that Brian Griese should be taking more snaps, delivered another dreadful performance. He was 2-for-12 passing for 33 yards with three interceptions -- two returned for touchdowns -- and a lost fumble in the 26-7 defeat.

"The next couple of days, I may think about it more," Grossman told the Sun-Times. "But there's going to come a time where I am going to completely forget about it and move on. It was a meaningless game. I won't dwell on it too much. I definitely want to learn from it.

"You're going to see a focused and intense quarterback."

Offensive coordinator Ron Turner said the team's preparation -- not just Grossman's -- showed against the Packers.

"[Grossman's] still a young player," Turner told the newspaper, "and he's still learning the intensity and the preparation and everything that goes along with it and that you have to have that every week. But he wasn't the only one who didn't play well."
