LMITOUT
Reigning NASCAR Nextel Cup champion Jimmie Johnson has a broken left wrist, Hendrick Motorsports announced Sunday. Johnson suffered the injury Friday when he fell out of his golf cart while participating in a charity golf tournament in Lecanto, Florida.
Macgyver55
Lucky he wasn't going into turn 4 at 175 mph on his cart. He might have taken out several other golfers with him!
PierBridge
He wasn't driving.....he woulda been but his back was sore from carrying $15,000,000 and the CUP around......

outdoor ran
Who would of thought golf was more dangerous then racing. For the record he wasn't driving. They have got to hate being passengers.
Sifty
Sounds like he was on the roof. Wonder if Vickers was driving. Sifty
OUTDOORNUT
I heard it was windy and his brow got blown over his eyes and he couldn't see the handle to hold on going into the turn.....
xedge2002
I heard that Mikey blew his cart motor and wrecked into a tree. Jimmy's cart got into the oil, lost control and flipped Jimmy out.
outdoor ran
I heard Jimmy got back into the cart and still beat JR.
LMITOUT
It was rumored that after the crash Johnson was overheard mumbling something about that "if those unapproved shocks I had at Dover were on this cart, it would have handled a lot better in the turns." He then corrected himself and decided later that the trick rear window that was used at Daytona before the car was impounded and Knaus suspended for four races, would have been better than the illegal shocks afterall. After giving that some thought, his official excuse was that he was being run into all around the golf course and it was out of his hands until finally the guy behind him took the air off the spoiler/golf bag rack. Video replay clearly indicated Johnson was out of control and took out the rest of the foursome including himself. No apology from Johnson has been given to this point and none is expected. JohnMickish
He still gets to look at the Cup before he goes to bed, and Jr. looks at his Most Popular Driver award and dreams of someday being good enough to win a cup on his own. Maybe Santa can bring him a toy cup so he can have one of his own this year. Anyways, I sure Jimmie's bones aren't in as good of shape as Jr's are, since jimmy has had to lift all those trophy's this year and Jr. only had to lift 2, and only one of them came from a racetrack. OUTDOORNUT
It is being reported now that JJ was messing around on the roof of the cart and got thrown several feet when the driver hit a berm.........I'm guessing he was about a .10 and may have gotten a 8 from the judges on the dive! Course Officals are still trying to determine if JJ was intending to push the roof height down so his cart passed post round inspections.

lawdog
I got hold of the "In-Cart Audio" from Jimmie before the incident. He said, "this golfing is almost as easy as beating Little E in the points, I've got to try something to give me a challenge, I'm hitting my next shot off the roof of the cart!" eyepatrol
That is a funny pic, but still, there are plenty of guys in Cup that haven't shaken the championship bottle...and we all know who that includes!
Fish_Hunter
Thought it would be in some good humor. I know my boy Tony Stewart isn't one of those you are talking about though!! For as many times as I have been on this forum, I never thought of looking under the NASCAR one. Always just the fishing. Hope everyone here is good hearted about a little ribbing now and then. Anyone else getting excited about the next season??
