What bullets do you like for a Knight Revolution?

First, no complaining about the plastic doohickies for the primers.

I just got the gun and was wondering what others have had success with in the same rifle. I know that every gun is different etc, just looking for some stories so I start in the right direction.

I don't have a Knight, but I'd say starting with Knight-branded bullets would be a good bet.

Lots of people seem to like the Powerbelts.

All I can say for sure is the Barnes Expander MZ does a heck of a job. I hit a doe on the run at about 75yd, the shot was a little low and far back but that bullet pretty much gutted it on the run. There wasn't much left inside...

I don't have a Revolution but I use Powerbelts in all both of my muzzleloaders. They load easy and always seem to do a very good job.

Those Revolutions seem to be a good gun and if the misses picked up on the hints I should have one in a couple weeks. smile.gif Make sure to let us know what you decide on and how they shoot.

What weight bullets are you using?

She may want to check Scheels. I got mine at the St. Cloud Scheels marked down to 299 but it was the only one. SST and synthetic stock, they also had a blued one but it was 399 - go figure. Thought it was a fairly decent price from what I had seen around. My brother just got a Remington that looks like a model 700 so we will be doing some comparing. I like the Remington, since I shoot a 700, but the Knight seems like a solid gun and it fits me better than others.

I will let you know how it shoots once I have a chance to get out. Chasin' roosters now, we are done with deer hunting this year.

we( mostly my daughter) been shooting a knight disc.( 50 cal/,100 gr. pirodex pellets) for serveral years now. i haven't tried any of the new bullets out there as i love the performance of the 250 gr. red hot( i think that's what they're called) from knight. we don't shoot long distances.( i sight the rifle in at , dead on at 75. yds. this puts it about 2 in. high at 50, and 2 in. low at 100)very happy with the accuracy . the bullet( looks like copper) has the open hollow pt. at impact the thing explodes, but the base slug mushrooms some and great penitration.( the doe my daughter shot this year;took out a rib, tore up insides some , and the slug was a pass thru.) i don't mind the disc. just make sure you have extras.

I have used a Muzzleloader (Remington 700 and TC Black Diamond XLR ) for years now, and have found the Hornady XTP (240 and 300 grain)to be the cheapest, most effective bullet I know. You can buy packs of 50 or 100, and the cost is close to the price of 20 so-called "premium" bullets that are heavily advertised.

With two pyrodex pellets I get complete passthrough as well at ranges out well beyond 100 yards everytime!

I think I read somewhere that those Knight Red-Hots are actually Barnes Spitfire MZ in disguise. The point is, I am a firm believer in the capability of those Barnes bullets.

As mentioned before, I use the Barnes Expander MZ. Sunday, at pretty much the end of the season, I took a doe at 156 paces (I'm 6' 2") with the 250gr Expander over 90gr of 777. This resulted in complete pass through on both front shoulders. Needless to say it pretty much anchored the deer.
