Guys I have a Little extra Ice House/Fishing money wink.gifMy wife does a budget every month to pay bills and it has eveyything out to eat, gas, daycare, housepayment, Larry's Cash $40. (for the month frown.gif). So when I got my paycheck and saw we got a good X-mas Bonus and added it to the wifes money for the month we got a little Surplus. Even with paying Ins for vehicles and X-mas presants. My wife works at the same bank we bank at Proably not a good thing. So when I get to the bank and hand my deposit slip to the teller (my wife cant give me money obviously) she punches it all up on the computer and counts out my cash to herself. Note my wife was 3 ft away on a half wall wink.gif I think this is great just hand over my $150 stash it away and no worries. So She starts counting it out to me Silently and then "oh did you want something other than 20'S" I'm thinking NO NO Just hand over the money and shut up, then she count it out LOUD 20 40 60 80 100 120 140 150 My wife peers over and says "GEEE thers alot of money being dished out over here. The other teller starts laughing and says oah is that why you were shushing me and waving your hands in my face I'm sorry blush.gif After a little grumping from my wife I kept the money Life is good cool.gif

Works out different in our place, I take care of all the finances and make sure everyone gets payed. Not always an easy task. But it works out for the best, this last month I bought the wife a new sewing machine she had been wanting, and I went out and bought a Frabill Trekker for me and the boy. Both cost the same so we were all even. This month I need a new auger, now to figure out what to get her again. grin.gif

So I'm not the only one that tries to hide the X-mas bonus money from the wife!! I get my bonus in cash, so it's easier for me, but she knows I get a bonus every year? I usually tell her I got $50.00 and keep whats left for myself wich is usually about a hundred bucks. This way I can buy some new tackle and stuff without the wife complaining about it.

It's almost scary how similar our wives are. I get an "allowance" and my wife counts every last penny and needs to know where it went, so to sneek a purchase in doesn't work too well.

Anyway, way to go on getting the money to yourself afterall. She probably thought it was cute, seeing you try to hide money from her, my wife laughs "usually" when she catches me trying to hoard some extra cash for myself.

My wife does the finanaces and I like it like that cause frankly I don't know that I would make sure all the bills got paid before I got all of my toys.

She's pretty good about letting me get one big thing a year for ice fishing. Hunting is usually the same since those are my only realy hobbies. Camping in the summertime is spent by our whole family so buy those items becomes a "family" expense.

Nice work on the bonus cash.

Well I guess there are other guys out there like me. I'm not one of those that can go buy whatever, whenever. But some can which is fine with me. Tonight I took the son out shopping (3 yrs) we went to Menards and played in the play area bought some Reflextix insulation and a 4 X 4 outside box which I didnt pay for cause when the guy swiped it it didnt register cool.gif Then we went to Target and I spent some of MY money and got a couple DVDs $20. Then when we get home the wife says well you could have used the check card. &*(^%%#@#$^&^% Women

Not all women are made equal. My wife doesn't worry about what I spend money on and I don't worry about what she spends it on. I usually get one new big toy a year. This year it was two a new rifle and a H20 C + LM Chip.

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
