I just bought a magnum. I was wondering if the canvas on them are good enough for the heart of the winter? I guess what I'm really asking is should have I have bought a Clam instead for the xtra 100 beans????? Seems great just not sure on canvas yet. Is what really sold me on it was the skies on the sled with the pole & rod storage...Any advise would be great....Happy Fishing cool.gif

I agree, I think we should start a Frabill Club because it seems there is already an Otter/Clam club.

Not sure why Frabill is not talked about that much but it should be. I just picked up a Frabill trekker and I just love it so far. I basically fish alone so it is going to be used as a HUGE 1 man but room for 2. I was in Cabelas and the only difference I say between all the Companies was the price.

Cool, I just bought a Frabill Trekker and was not to sure it be

as nice as the old the Polar Sport Nordic I had sold a couple

years ago. After putting it together I found it a solid buy, can`t go wrong for $299.99 for a 2 man. Should be perfect for

me and my 10 year old son. Looking forward to getting out and

testing it out.

Hi guys im another frabill guy. My cousin is also and he got his Tri-plex at the end of the year last year. The problem is we cant find a cover for his. Im wondering if the new Fortress GT cover will work or if you know where I can get the Tri-plex cover. Thanks

hey,

The skin on the frabill is just fine. Although I am a Trap guy, Frabill does make a quality house. Both Clam and frabills skins are made to block the wind and they don't really insulate so you will need a pretty good size heater. I like the 8-14k btu sunflowers. Not a big buddy fan but they will work.

I love my Frabill XLTwin, picked it up in late march 2 years ago for 300 bucks.

The only complaint in that house from me and my buddys was the wasted space of the canvas going out behind the sled, but we soon found you could put a regular sunflower, (not a heater/cooker) in the sled facing slanted towards the back and not lose floor space or melt the canvas.

Great house, after 2 years of hard use only 1 hole and that was from a lantern burn.

That Jiffy is a nice unit but a PIG to carry around. I did it for years and finally had enough. I would go 2 horse 8 or 9" Stealth. Save you back some pain. Unless you like a big workout on the ice.

I finally called it quits and got a Nils. 22pounds was a HUGE factor in that decision.
