Has anyone ever hunted ferrel hogs in the South?

I hunted them at Bostick plantation in South Carolina a few years back. Great accommodations, friendly folks and the guides put us on some hogs each day out. I think it was 2 per hunter per day of stay. They also have turkey hunts there, deer hunting might be a possibility in Jan and Feb as well. The owner has 10,000 acres along the Savannah river that is huntable.

I'll see if I can find the info for this... My dad and I went last year to a place in NW Arkansas, and we saw hogs all day. I ended up taking one, but Dad passed several and didn't take one that day (although he could have easily on several occasions). It was a blast. The land owners just want them gone, and in most states, there is no season and no limit.

There were numerous shot opportunities, and I could have taken one with a bow. If you do go with a bow, though, it might be a good idea to take a sidearm. Them things can get nasty.
