Ontario Fishing Season

We're thinking about a trip to Kenora and fishing Lake of the Woods around the first week of March. Can anyone tell me when the seasons are for walleyes, lakers, etc.?

every thing but muskie open. Walleye closes Apr 15 till 3rd Sat in May. Trout open from Jan1

That's a grand possibility, depending on availability. It's the same group of guys that I've brought up to LOTW for the past 4 or 5 years. We just thought we'd venture into new areas. I'll keep you posted.

Hemlock, we have a little adventure in mind for our annual January outing to Muskie Bay...Wondering if you may have some insight..You may even be interested in tagging along? I can't seem to find your email address to ask a couple questions...?

Paul at Muskie Bay will be able to give you the best inside track for that adventure. Which will include lakers, crappie, walleye, perch.

I can help you if you decide to venture further north and west up the lake. You really shouldn't have a need to, unless you are after some bigger lakers in Whitefish Bay. (20 drive north to Sioux Narrows.)
