Sutty
How much trouble do you think Robby G will get into if they can pin it on him? Perhaps a free spin in texas?
Sifty
I thought it was wierd. I missed the caution. Came back and saw the 20 car doing a burnout. Then I see the reporter running up to Robby's trailer. We I first saw the replay it looked like it came out his window. The camera comes back to Robby's face and he looked like a kid who just got caught. Then he say's it was somthing that he ran over.Boy Burton sure was mad.I say they set him down for a race and fine him.Sifty
eyepatrol
They replayed that a few times while interviewing Robby and there wasn't a thing on the track that I could see. It was pretty obvious that it came from Robby's car. Plus the thing shot out sideways as if it were thrown out and not tumbling back behind the car as if run over.Robby definitely looked like a kid that got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He really tried to avoid the interview, you could tell he was uncomfortable during the interview, and then he got the heck out of there after the interview. Telling signs if you ask me. OUTDOORNUT
Didn't some teams even go as far as taping reflective tape on the "debris" so it looked like metal on the track? It seemed to be a lot more common 10 years ago, now we get "phantom cautions" created by NASCAR to assure their golden boys stay in the races! Cyberfish
LOL! speaking of debris cautions....where was the the debris that brought out the first "debris" caution just in time to save a certain red beer car from having to pit on green and go a lap down?? Seems that every time Jr does good, some genius on here tries to start something, funny how it works that way!!! It proves that he is the "MOST FAMOUS DRIVER OUT THERE"!!! JohnMickish
You can choose "most famous", I'd rather be "the winningest active driver".Anyways, that stuff is never ending and it's fun to get you "beer guys" all ruffled up.Back to the topic, Gordon got fined pretty big. 50 owner and driver points. Ouch. I bet he dosen't do that again.
JohnMickish
This came off of NASCARS HSOforum. I'm not trying to stir anything up here (this time), but just thought that this was funny since we have all been complaining this year about the cautions for no reason. Kind of like the NFL comercial time outs.True story: At the race, sheets are always handed out that detail the caution laps, what the caution was for, etc. When we got the second one -- the one after the Lap 83 debris caution that got Junior back on the lead lap -- the sheet had the reason for the caution listed as "TBD." eagle_3464
The verdict is in, "Gordon guilty as charged" and hit with a 50 point penalty and I think $25,000 in total fines. I'll bet Burton would love to have some of those points.
