EL Nino......

Hey guys, a guy I know was telling meof the el nino still playing a big effect this year on ice fishing. Supposedly it is going to be a terrible year for ice fishing (again)…..any thoughts from you guys???

On the bright side. All we need is on week of cold weather to get a layer of ice. After that it is a matter of time. Even if it is a warmer winter, if we get some cold weather it will be a great winter. I would like to see some more snow so I can get out on my sled with the portable. Ice fishing with out snow is kind of tough. BE AN OPTIMIST!!!!!

I can explain why the warmer than normal area is centered over MN....to be more exact, over my location.....Because I bought a permanent ice house this fall!

A few years ago I bought a snowblower and it quit snowing, and that was early January.

I'm the whipping boy this year. Blame me.

What are you guys complaining about? I loved it last year, the ice was to thin for the "lazy" guys that have to drive out so they never made it out. I had most of the lakes I fish to darn near myself all winter long.

I know how you feel man, I thought about selling the sleds this year, but if I do you know darn well there will be 3 ft of snow the next weekend... and it will stay untill June.

funny how that works uh next year buy a boat in dec that should give el-crapo a run for it's $$$

I have a dumb Question/comment. Isnt El Nino the warm Pacific water?? That makes its way west to the US Warming the water/weather or changing the Jet stream. Then how can Hawii be consideriably COLDER on that map if its out IN the Pacific?
