nothing to report from me other than two broken reels - a motor that decided to only run at full - a x-19 that likes to reset every 5 minutes - a shoulder that is in need of surgery - a bad case of "musky elbow" and of course a bruised ego.

I'm afraid I'm in the "panties waiting to dry" category. I haven't been on the water in a couple weeks and it's starting to look like my muskie rods have seen their last action of the year. Besides kid/wife/work/home I'm trying like heck to shoot a deer before the gun hunters screw everything up for me.

Others must have some decent reports for us to envy???

Fishing wasn't any good for me last weekend. Tonka seemed to be turning pretty badly. Hope this weekend will be better.

alright buckfish - glad to see someone got something last weekend - only saw one really stupid one on sunday and saturday night was way more a conditions test then anything (truck had a temp of 23 when we got off the lake).

yeah that was sunday morning, not too bad, 34 when we started in the morning. this weekend will be a bit different on mille lacs. high of 38/low 20 something

Hiya -

I've been out a little bit here and there. Trying to get the siding and soffits up on my cabin before it got too cold to work on it so that srt of crapped up last weekend. Was blowing insulation in the attic Friday night. Boy was that fun in the wind. It was REALLY huffing. Did manage to scrape up one fish Sunday morning in a couple hours' trip but overall it was sort of slow. Fall or not, a cold front is still a cold front. Water temp on one lake I was on dropped 12 degrees in 5 days. Bass fished Saturday night (don't tell anyone - heh ). Figured it was my last shot for the year on the lake my cabin's on, and only had an hour til dark anyhow...

Heading up to Lake of the Woods for a four day troll-o-rama tonight. Water temp is in the low 40s up there, and it's supposed to be cold but not too windy. We could be in business I'll report when I get back...

Did hear that Leech was slow over the weekend.

I just hope the ice stays off for a bit longer. I'm supposed to film a TV show somewhere the 1st week in November, and I really don't want to do an ice fishing show

there you go spoutin off that work word again...... ya i was thinking about running up to the farm and doing a little bow hunting for the first time this season but i have been playing the offer counter-offer game on my house the last two days and i think that will keep me at least close to a fax over the weekend. dang it i should go out bird hunting too/my poor dog. oh well there is just not enough time - need to get that 50 so i can move on for the year.....

Tonka tourney is this week. I was planning on fishing WBL. I've got a spot. Typically fish sunrise to 10am (bad fishing) 11am (if i see 1) or as late as my wife lets me if I see two or more. I've got a spot if youre interested.

I'm going both. When I said I have no idea what I am doing I was actually kinda talking globally. Spend the bulk of my time on WBL and know it better than any other lake I fish.

I was gonna try something a little different this trip. Not sure what you're cup of tea is but I've always fished shallow and have no confidence in the whole open water/breakine trolling big cranks deal. I was gonna basicly give it a go all weekend and try and put a confidence fish or two in the boat. Whatcha think?

Well we will go out soon. The dog is figuring things out. he is going to get on a lot of birds this weekend. Then we are going to sit in our ground blind and drink beer and see if a deer comes along. Probably will happen because we are in a good spot but I don't know about the accuracy. Let me know when you want to go out and get your 50.

Oh hey. Missed your post. Sorry bout that.

I'm in a 2005 black Navigator165 with a 90 Suzuki. You'll be able to spot me cause I'll be wearing carhartt coveralls (I get cold easy.) Also short and fat with a little beard deal, as you can see from the picture. I also usually have some kinda goofy expression on my face as you can also see from the picture.

Another dead giveaway is I kinda get turrets when I see a fish........ But maybe everyone else is that way too.......

Hey guys, i'd be up for fishing WBL in the AM on saturday. I live near there, and have fished it (albeit with no luck) three days this week. Water's clear and 47 degree's. Been out on bald eagle too, no fish in the boat, but better luck. Same temp, water's murky as usual.

I've got a boat with room for 1 more if anyone's interested. Blue crestliner with a 50 evinrude on the back. Maroon '91 4runner for a tow vehicle.

Hey MJBo, I'll be out on WBL Sunday. Been out there for the last 6 weeks. I had some success doing the trolling thing pulling a 41" out on a 10" Jake in about 15' over some weeds--a couple of weeks back. I'll be out there in a gray Glastron. My wife saw your pic as I was typing this and turns out she used to work with you at PHCL, she was Anne the accountant. Hope you had good luck today, and will maybe see you out there tomorrow.
