irvingdog
I was just given a Honda Big Red 3 wheeler. It seems like the perfect little thing to tug a dead deer out of the woods, or especially, ice fishing.Do I need to get this thing licensed to perform these tasks for me? It's not gonna be a trail rider. It literally won't see the light of day accept for these 2 purposes. Free toy, and I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible..... efgh
You can drive it any where on property you own that your residence is located on, any other property you own apart from ypur res. you need a liense, a c.o. would issue a ticket in the woods or on a lake if he finds you. SomethingFishy*
You would need a liscense if used on public lands/waters.Just go buy the liscense, you only need to purchase them every 3 years.
Greg T
I thought I heard once they wanted you to license your ATV even if you only use it on your own property. Is that true or did I dream thet up?

Dave
Guys, just pick up a copy or look online at the OHV regulations. ALL ATVs operated in Minnesota must be registered with the DNR, even if used exclusively on private property.

Black_Bay
Get it licensed. You won't get in trouble with the law. It isn't that expensive and as stated it's good for 3 years. BTW the sled looks like a Rupp Nitro to me.
