Pulling a Portable manually

I currently have a Shappell Rover 2.0 shelter. I do not have a sled or ATV to pull it (and do not forsee getting one in the near future). I am looking for a way to pull the shelter without straining my hands, writsts, shoulders, etc. I would like to find a harness to attach to the rope so that I am pulling from my entire upper body, not just my arms. Has anyone seen anything like this in the past and if so, where could someone pick one up. Thanks in advance.

I tied both ends to of a long rope to the pull rope on my sled and put the rope around my torso and walk. With the house 15-20ft behind me you barely feel the house..hands are free the only thing is if there is alot of deep snow then it gets tough but that is cause the house not the pull system. This was my cheap fix and works pretty good.

My advice would be to make a sled out of an old pair of downhill skis to put your house on. The sled will make your house seem like it weighs nothing. You should be able to get some ski's for virtually nothing, couple 2x2's and some screws or lag bolts....We did this last year and can't believe we didn't do it years ago...

Last year I started using a deer drag harness that I bought from Fleet Farm for about $7. It makes a world of difference; however, it was a bit difficult to get the thing on without twisting the shoulder straps. Cabelas has one that's a little more expensive, but a lot easier to use.

ditto that!!! Those things work well for dropping a big fish house on and sliding it across the lake too. My 3000 lb house is normally one of the first houses on the lake because I slide it out on two sleds I made with skis. And if I can move my house a mile by myself, just think what it is like with a small portable.

A buddy of mine uses a deer drag, its a over the shoulder harness much like a saftey harness and I belive he got it at Cabelas.

I bought one for the $6 at Gander last year before I had my ATV. Works great, I pulled an Otter lodge with full gear (20lb tank, auger, the works) it was a breeze, it pulled better with than me than with 2 guys pulling the rope.
