The hanging fish finder idea is a good idea. One thing I have is called a Hawg Trough. Its a measuring board for fish which is rounded so the fish sit in them better. Then you can settle bets or throw back shorts a lot easier then using an actual tape measure.

I will be pulling it up to the 2nd Annual Portable Modification Get Together - Sept. 23 if you want a closer look.

I am looking forward to seeing some other wheel houses for ideas on my next project.... smile.gif

Man alive that house is incredible. I would lose my job if I owned a house like that on account of not showing up. I get a kick out of showing the guys at work (I work in Florida) different pictures of peoples fish houses. They will be blown away by this one.

I'm considering a couple of things for my 8x14 shack:

1. A small bar. A friend gave me a nice small bar top, big enough for 3 or 4 guys. Also could be used to feed the kids. I know it takes up room, but we won't do much jigging in this shack, it's more of an ice "camp". We'll have an 8x8 next door for jiggers. Good idea or bad?

2. A row of 5 small lockers. A friend at work said I could have them. Do you think these would come in handy for storage? I was thinking of using 3 for fisherman gear and the other 2 for pots, pans, plates, water jugs, paper products, etc. Good idea or bad?

Coldmark, is your shack on skids or wheels? If weight is not a proplem for you I would run with it, The one thing a shack should have is alot of storage but keeping the weight down is proplem for wheeled shacks, Having happy kids is also a big + when you want to stay out for any lenth of time
