hanson
I would like to thank Matt, Joel, and Corey for the great job they did at the Fall Fishing Seminar last night. It was very informational and entertaining as well. Joel touched on the scientific aspects of the fall turnover in a lake and how fish species are affected by the lake turning over. And of course how to use this knowledge to help us become better fisherman. Matt discussed fishing bass and panfish into this fall period with specific emphasis on some metro area lakes. Corey went through a crash course in trolling cranks for fall walleyes. I know your "secret crank" for Mille Lacs eyes now Corey! As always, the use of plastics was a hot topic and Matt showed a variety of plastics he's currently using for bass and how he rigs and fishes them. Good job guys! For those who didn't make it, make sure to attend one of these seminars in the future. The seminars are very relaxed and interactive and we encourage questions and participation. Matt Johnson
Thanks Chris. It was nice to see you again and it's always fun getting a chance to sit down with you and Corey afterwards for a beverage and few stories I would also like to thank Joel and Corey for an outstanding job. I learned a lot from Joel's presentation on the fall turnover and how different factors play a role in different lakes. Those types of things go unnoticed by most anglers but can really help in patterning fall fish. Corey definitely gave a crash course on crankbaits! He also threw in a little ice fishing every once in a while too The fall transition is an interesting time of the year. For some it can be frustrating and for others it is that long awaited time of success!
