0 Jeremy airjer W
Blackjack, You beat me to it!! Its to bad that ford Pick up sales are down. In my opinion they currently have the better of the domestic trucks with the newer F-150's.
0 LMITOUT
I'm not disappointed in my purchase of a 2006 Duramax. I saw the spy photos a while back and coupled with 0% financing I determined that now was the time to act. Not to mention that the new Duramax engines are going to be laden with so much emissions equipment that they are going to be quite a bit more expensive than what they are priced at today. There are some bells and whistles on the 2007's that are nice, but the layout and appearance will take some time to get used to.
0 Northlander
Gas prices are going up and Toyota has a good line of gas saving hybreds and such. I doubt they are selling more trucks just more small cars. Both Chevy and Ford are down and taking more hits due to gas prices being allowed to bounce around wherever the oil companies want them. We need some regulation on this its out of control!
0 hawkeye43
What I heard about the 07 diesels with all the emission equipment, they will not run with the diesel fuel thats at the pumps right now. They will be bringing the sulfer contect way down, more refining can only drive up fuel cost, that are to high now. So there will be 2 different kinds of diesel fuel at the pumps. It might be better to get an 06 brfore this all happens. At least an 06 will run on the new fuel.

0 percherman
I can sure tell the diff in road noise between riding in my 04 f150 super-cab and my in-laws Chevy 1/2ton ext cab. While riding in his truck going down the interstate at75 you almost need to yell to talk to each other. I have found that true with all Chevy trucks. They just don't seem to be air tight. My Ford rides quiet, and even though my father-in-law hates to admit it, he even comments on how quiet it rides. He isn't the only Chevy person to tell me that either. I have not ridden in any of the newer Fords. Are they even quieter? I have test drove the Tundra. That is a work of art!! I could not even here the engine running when I fired it up. Does anybody know what they get for mileage? V8 Needs more room, and a little to spendy for this bread and leftover wiener water gravy eating guy. 0 Jeremy airjer W
Percherman, Toyota v-8, 4door, SR5, With some other option will set you back about $30k. Or if your a low mileage kind of guy like myself lease it for 3 years for a little over half of the new truck payment! As far as mileage goes I get 15 to 17mpg on average (I mostly drive in the city or have it loaded down with the boat and gear). I haven't figured out what I get out on the highway without a boat and the box loaded. Theres no other reason to be out on the highway unless your on your way to go fishin, right? As far as ride, my wife was the judge. She couldn't stand riding in my Tacoma! She was not enthused about the first trip in the Tundra but after about five miles she was impressed. She said it almost rode better than our town and country! I'd have to agree. As far as full sized truck in general go you can't beat the ride in the 2 wheel drive chev trucks. I haven't driven any Dodges with the new front suspension so I can't comment on those but Ford and Toyota have excellent riding four wheel drives!! Dan, dan, dan! This is a family forum. You spit out your "adult beverage"!
