Which chip/program for my H2O?

Bobb-o

Question

Trying to figure out which software package to get to go with my new Lowrance iFinder H2O. I have it narrowed down to the Lakemaster Chip and the Mapcreate 6.3 program. Anybody on here have any experience with either of these? does the Lakemaster chip or mapcreate have all the county roads? does Mapcreate have topo maps available? can you download new data into the mapcreate program?

Yeah, I see that on their site, and even that update is not ready yet. Something to do with getting the rights(??) to include the Canadian side contours, I guess...

Schweady,

Bought my 2007 chip off their HSOforum for $99.00. I looked at Sand Point Lake, it has the entire lake map which includes the Canadian side. Very nice map. Namakan is the same, has the whole lake, and once again, a nice map.

Fish Lake, Burnett County, WI is one of the WI lakes on the MN chip although not a High-Definition lake. No mention of StL River or Superior.

I could post the exact location of the list of 744 lakes, but I suppose that's a no-no. Just go to lakemap dot ... Click "Digital GPS Maps," then the "here" link under Lowrance for their digital charts, then the Minnesota map, then "Product Lake List."
