Last night I had the privilige of hooking up with a beauty, a 22" fish in the Chisago area. Unfortunatly I forgot my digital camera, luckily I had the spare disposable in the boat. Fish came out of 5 feet of water, sitting next to a 2" stick that was sticking out of the water. I thought it was a pike the way it was making runs but to my surprise it was a BIG piggy. I will post some pics as soon as I get the film developed (c'mon walgreens open darn it) We caught 5 nice fish last night and all were in less than 5 feet of water. Here is the picture, not the best, but I'm just glad they turned out at all with it being a 3 year old disposable .

Nope, didn't get it on the scale. With the high water temps I got a quick measurement a few pics then back to the water, trying not to stress it too much. Anyone have any idea how old a fish like that is?

Well we will never know will we? the whole formula to guess weight by multiply length x girth divided by e=mc^2 to the 10th power then take the square root of Pi to formulate the obdula oblongata of the derivitive of the s factor to determine weight is stupid. Spend 20 bucks, get a digi and no one will ever doubt you again.

And im not taking anything away from seterguys fish. I said it looks like a 4 pounder (which is a nice fish).

Nice haul dude, who needs a digital scale anyway, I have never carried one, I guess I'm not much into weight anyway, length can always be converted into approximate weight if you feel the need, and if people doubt you and try to discredit you as is so often the case here, forget em! smile.gif

I do have a digital scale but really didn't even think about weighing the fish, I actually caught the fish in our league which is based on inches so I was just pumped about the 11 points that it scored!

Sweet fish Setter! Congrats! Nice color and length, not to mention the monster headsize. That baby goes six pounds easily, and may even be approaching 7 lbs. towards fall. Good job man.

Very nice bass Sguy! Its so hard to tell how big fish are in pics now days the way some people hold them 3ft in front of them and a foot from the camera. Duffmans trout looks like a whale in his avator wink.gif the way hes holding it but those fingers always give ya away grin.gif If I had to guess weight on the nice bass I'd say 5 - 5 1/2pds. Just my guess. Congrads on the sweet catch man.
