Lake Michigan Charter Help

Anyone have any suggestions or history on salmon fishing Lake Michigan? My fishing buddys and me are looking to plan a trip and hire a charter service. Any advice would be appreciated.

Bob Stoski runs out of Kewannee (sp). Does everthing possible to put his clients on fish. I will be there the second week of August to fish with him.

We went with RV charters in Algoma, Kinn's Katch owns them now I think. Our captain was the sone of the Kinn's Katch owner and everything was top notch. We actually had a bachelor party they kept us on fish and were very understanding about our behaivior. The Condos they have right on the river are very nice. Algoma is cool and inexpensive to eat and drink. we actually got our limit one day, like 30 fish and most of them were upper teens and 20 plus pounds. very fun.

I would go with Tom Morrell from Sandpipper. He has been fishing out there for years. I have fished with a bunch of these guys but now pull my boat out there.

I agree with G Man. We fished with Renegade last year, and not only did we get into the fish, we only brought a couple beers, and when we ran out, Capt Tim let us into his private stash. He runs a good boat, that was a lot of fun to fish on. One other option, and this is out of Milwaukee, is Leisure Time Charters. We fished a few times 3 years ago with Capt Mike, and he puts you on fish. If you go to his HSOforum,and check out the book a charter page, you'll see 3 hours of fishing for 4 guys in the cooler. I'm pushing the wheelbarrow because we could hardly get the cooler off the boat, let alone carry it over to the cleaning shack.

WOW great stuff! Thanks for the input. Heres another question for ya. Im planning on a a three day weekend. When do you think the best time of this summer / fall would be?
