Question on H2O?

ordered an H2O online, was wondering if it floats in water similar to the Garmin Map 76?

This is from the manual for my ExpeditionC (pretty much the same unit):

"Lithium batteries are lighter than alkaline, and with some brands of lithium batteries, the iFINDER ExpeditionC will float. We've tested it using Energizer e2 lithium batteries and it remained afloat."

Nice to know, but I don't plan on testing it out anytime soon.

Bobb-0, my H20 has the same message as above in the manual, I haven't tried it out yet, but there must be some truth to it

Good Luck I know of two H2O's that did not float.....

That's great news that it will float with Lithium and not Alkaline batteries........

My h2o did float...was not trying to see if it would or not...but accidents happen ....and yes, it had Lithium batteris inside.

Be careful testing this, i don't know if my H2O floats or not, but I know it wasn't waterproof when submerged.

I was told when I bought my H2O that with regular batteries it would be neutral bouyant, with lithium batteries it would float, but it is not 100% waterproof, if it gets more than 3 feet underwater, it's toast.

You mean, it went under for just a bit and then quit working? Did you contact Lowrance? I mean, it does say "waterproof"...
