Wave Wackers vs. Whitecap

Anyone have any experience or comments regarding the splashguards manufactured by Whitecap? I called our local marina and it's about $450-$500 to get wave wackers installed on a Lund 1700 Fisherman. I checked the Whitecap HSOforum and, according to the web page, I could buy their brand and have them installed (in Shakopee) for about $225 ($30 to install). I like a great buy but sometimes the great buy comes with a low quality product- curious is anyone this brand and your experience with them. thanks

I put Whitecaps on my Alumacraft Magnum 165 this year and have been very happy so far. If you check some older posts the consensus is that Whitecaps are a quality product.

I used Whitecaps on my Lund Rebel and thought they worked great. I didn't see anything wrong with the quality. I have since sold that Rebel and bought a different boat that was rigged with Wave Wackers. I don't see any difference in quality.

I just put white caps on my 16 foot rebel this week. I called last thursday evening and the white caps guy said he'd have them on my doorstep on monday...and sure enough they were there on monday. So I installed them...which was easy to do....and they appear to be exactly what i was looking for...i was out fishing last night....not really doing much back trolling but did back up a few times into waves and they did the job. so...so far...so good. i vote yes on the white caps...but i have little experience so far with them....and no experience with the wave wackers.

my understanding is there is a 3 year warranty on them. and it seemed like the guy i talked to was top notch...and i think they'd take care of you if you had any issues with the white caps.

Only difference I know is the price. I had a set on the last boat and was very happy with them. Plus White Caps are a FM sponsor so that is another bonus.

I put whitecaps on my new Alumacraft Dominator and could not be happier. Sure wave wackers are nice also, but much more expensive. Fit and finish of the Whitecaps is fantastic.

I have had Whitecaps on my boat for 3 years now. They work great and saved me a bunch of $$$ over Wave Whackers.
