The tranny on my '02 Yukon dumped on me last week. Does anyone recommend any transmission repair shops in the Ham Lake area?

I'd give TSI Transmission a try. ( 612-861-1666 ) Used them once saved me some cash. I had the overdrive light on the shifter flashing at me. All that needed doing was flush fluid and change screen. They could have said it was anything. Doesn't cost anything to get an estimate either.

Good Luck,

Nick

Stick, Our shop uses TSI (transmission shop inc.) quite often for anything that we can't do in house. The one we use is in bloomington wich I realise is not exactly in your backyard. On the bright side after you pay for the repairs you can bring the family to the mall of america and spend a few more bucks!! (I'm always glad to help! grin.gif) We have been using them for years with good results. A few problems here and there but they where always taken care of promptly.

There is also Wholesale Transmission over in Blaine, on the same frontage rd as Lenny's,er, I mean Denny's.

Good service, I brought in a 1989 Suburban, that is coming up to a year and still working excellent. I tried other shops and I had to bring it in so they could "test drive" it, he told me over the phone the worst it will be is...as far as the tranny goes, I had them replace a few things since they had it apart and I was not charged the extra on the labor. (rear main seal, input and output seals in the transfer case, and u-joints). My total bill was 1200.

They had it done in two days. dropped it off Monday 4:00 and picked it up Wednesday 5:00.

Alot of good shops around.I would only suggest that if you travel alot to get the tranny done where they have shops nationwide. If you do have some bad luck in another state and you had a local shop fix it,my question might be who will repair it out of state.National brands for that reason are good to buy.

AAMCO in Anoka is very good. They put in a new tranny for me about 6 months ago. Talk to Kevin he's a great guy and very helpfull. I haven't had any problems with the tranny to date. I couldn't be a happier with the service (now if only I could say the same for the liars at Morries Ford in Buffalo).
