Fishook
I use Lingy Rigs quite a bit and would like to improve my results by learning how to tie a snell hook/knot. If anyone can walk me through it or refer me to the instructions, I would appreciate it. I did an Open Water forum search going back 1 year and could not find what I am looking for. Captain B.R.K
Or better yet go to your local sporting good shop and ask them how to tie a snell. I'd hope some of those Iowan's would know what a snell knot looks like. Serious though, my dad stopped in to Cabela's one day and the associate there walked him through the process. Before my dad could leave the associate made him tie one of his own snells. That is customer service! But it is easier done than said.
blue_healer_guy
I can manage that end, but how do you tie the other end,(loop)
Deitz Dittrich
Nice immage RW.. I tie mine a little different, but its still snelled. I think mine is more of a uni knot around the shaft of the hook.I'll second what BRK says and that is, I can see an immage but cant do it.. If I see someone do it it helps that much more! robbro
For the loop end I use a perfection loop.

WadeSt
For the loop end of the snell, use the surgeon's loop, also shown on animatedknots.com. I've been tying snells at work
