Is one 3/8 inch fuel line sufficient to run a 115HP 4 stroke and a T8?

Question

Is the fuel flow in a 3/8 inch fuel line sufficient to run both kicker and a 115HP? Of course, both would not be running WOT, but would be more like idling 115HP and a T8 at trolling speed. Thanks

Easiest way is to install a fuel filter/water seperator. Run your main line to this and and then 2 lines out. One to each motor. You could run both motors at the same time, and then do not need to use a switch. Also some boats have an extra pickup in the tank that can be used for a kicker, jsut need to add an anti-siphon valve and line.

Thanks. That is precisely my question. With one fuel line feeding the fuel water separator, is it possible to run both motors connected to the separator thru 2 different hoses at the same time without damaging either?

I think you'll be all right there... the fuel / water seperator is ususaly mounted closer to the tank, minimizing the hose size losses.

Do you really think you'll be running both that much? I can't think of too many times when I'd want to run both motors at the same time...

I have same combo of motors and run both fairly often. It is surprising how long they will run when you shut the gas off to one of them. I wouldn't worry about it
