Vikings running game

It seems to me with the new coaching staff and head coach along with some of the new players that the Vikes will now concentrate on being more of a running type offense and not a passing offense.Who agrees with this or am I all wet?

I think you will see alot of passing from Johnson but it will be alot of short stuff. When they do run you will see them running left a lot more then right I bet.

I have a feeling that the short passing game will be used to replace to running game at times.

They spent a heck of alot of money for the running game. With Hutch, and Taylor, they have to plan on making the running game a actual threat. I can think of 49 million different reason to run the ball! haha I am faily sure that Childress likes to use his running game! I do believe that there will be alot of short passes also, but I figure they will try to run more, and take some hits off BJ! Because if Johnson goes down, we may be hurting! Draft day was probably the last time you will ever hear Tavaris (sp)Jacksons name called!

I think its ball control with Childress, more than it is just running. Short passes mixed with runs, text book west coast offense stuff.

I don't honestly think we have the backs to be a run first team. Chester isn't Edge or Shaun Alexander... I hope he does good in this system, but I don't really see him as a game changer.

Chester hasnt really been a full time back so we dont really know how good he can be. And dont you all forget we signed a top notch full back in Tony Richardson. Hes only been blocking for Priest Holmes for how many years? He sure wont hurt the running game.
