G4 would have been better or even a G5.....G6 are Pontiacs

Just kidding....of course.... grin.gif

Check your prop, sounds like it might be bent and/or missing a chunk.

Pikemaster, we are just teasing you, there is nothing wrong with G3s, infact Basscatcher on a thread below this is asking about them (you could add a reply...;) )

Anyway, I was saying we were just "picking" on you. This is Minnesota, anybody that doesn't follow the local Lund/Crestliner/Alumacraft trend, will always catch a lot of...you know what wink.gif

Seriously though, check your prop, I am pretty sure that's the problem.

I know I should not of taken it so seriously. But thanks for the commenet about the prop. But I just checked it out and there is not a thing wrong with it. I think i will just try and put some sea foam in it and see if that take care of it.

Thanks

Question: Are you running a stainless prop on that rig?

If so, it is quite common for the motor to vibrate more at idle....nothing bad, but probably an annoyance more than anything. As soon as you throttle up, things will run extremely smooth.

the reason this happens is that a steel prop takes more "umph" to turn, even at idle, thus the mtor is working harder to turn it.

If you have a rough idle, the seafoam or mercury's power-tune, which will be a shock treatment for the carbs and intake would do some good as well...especially if it is a two stroke engine.

just went through that with mine. i had a stainless 4 blade on it and that was really bad. a stainless 3 blade is much better, but still does to some degree. the dealer said it was normal and not to worry about it.
