Tick Spray

Going turkey hunting and fishing next week. Will be in the woods a lot. Is there any bug spray out there that repels ticks better than others. These little critters give me the creeps.

For myself I look for anything with 100% DEET.

The 100% deet stuff works best on the flying little critters. Ticks, you need alot of common sense. Check yourself, when back home from being in the woods. Wear long pants and tuck them into your boots. Prevent any entry points for the little buggers! Mostly though, stay out of any tall weeds or grasses were they like to hang out.

there is a spray called permethrine (sp?) that you apply to your clothes and lasts through a couple washings that keeps ticks away. you can get it at most outdoors places that have camping equipment.

I have found Repel works good. Spray your boots and pant legs.

I've had good luck using Ultrathon by 3M. it was developed for the US Military for use in the desert and jungle, and the bugs around here haven't gotten used to it yet...
