If you were to take it to a radiator shop they could cook it out and then if the tank is a liitle bad inside they can epoxy it.You will then be good as new.

I had this done on a older tractor tank and it worked very well.

What I have done with small tanks in a pinch is to put in several handfuls of small gravel and a about half of a tank of water and shake the heck out of it. Then rinse it out well, VERY well a couple times, and blow it out dry with compressed air and let it dry overnight. It sounds crude but it works surprisingly well. I just did this to a tank on an old riding lawn mower that had been sitting for years and it literally looked like new inside when I finished.

had this same problem with a used 3-wheeler, i used a process similar to what macgyver used but i used BBs instead so that i wouldnt have as much of a problem with dirt in the tank when i was done.
