Fantasy NASCAR ruined this forum

I actually enjoyed the endless bickering and sensless name-calling brought on by heart felt feuds. This fantasy league has caused us all to stop being fans of our favorites and start thinking sensibly and I for one am not happy about it.

Ford & Dodge suck(you too toyota). Ken Schrader I don't ever want to root for you. And why the he11 did I pick McMurry as MY A list driver this week.

At least I haven't picked Waltrip yet.

OK let the bickering begin! Lets stir the pot! everyone list the drivers they like to see win (every week, not fantasy teams) and then those that they would like to lose.

As long as the gates are open now I have to ask this. Am I the only one that thinks Mikey Waltrip is a C driver at best and made a super huge mistake leaving DEI and it's good cars to go to BDR? Sure, he'll have his own team next year but does anyone remember when his brother owned his own team? He sucked to put it nicely and it sure did put alot of tarnish on the ol' DW reputation and Mikey is going to follow in the very same footsteps. Money dosen't matter much to a racer (as long as you have enough to make the next race) but if your not a racer then the money matters.

I agree with you.I believe Mickeys days with DEI will be the best days of his cupdays.

Also,look at Jr go this year. He has gave me faith in him,even with only a few races into the season.Maybe not a true champion contender yet,but for sure a top ten contender.Go JR.

The bad part of the Fantasy leaque is I dont cheer for who I use to,now I cheer for Rousch drivers and others that I use to love to hate. Hendrick included.

I was hoping that Mikey would do better then he is I love it when NAPAFISH does his napadominos deal.

AS far as the back and forth there has only been afew race's this year hopefully it will heat up once we get into it a little more.

Oh yea I still don't like Kurt Busch even with him in Rusty's ride.

Kurt is doing alot better than I thought he would.

As long as we are free to bash now whats the deal with Newman? I though he was alot better than what he has showed the last two years, but I also remember that when he won all those races that year he won most of them on fuel milage after he went a lap down. I know they changed the pitting rules for the lucky dog because of him. He used to pit on the last lap of yellow and top off the tank, now you cant do that if you are the lucky dog.

He does drive one hell of a fast 5 lap race though.

Newman and Busch needed to quit screwing with the intrepid/charger deal long ago and get their cars to work. Newman has always been Mr. Friday though, he hasn't done much the last two years.

Jr. has looked better, but he's had some real luck too, he's still OVER-RATED. 24 has looked like the old 24, meaning he can and will whip people when the chase starts.

Mikey didn't have a chance driving on his own this year, but in reality he's just putting in his time this year until Toyota's money comes to him next year. I doubt he expected much this year frankly and he was bottom dog at DEI anyway, they pander to their little Baby Jrs!!!!

By the way, just for the record, I still route for the same guys no matter who's on my fantasy team...

Lawdog---Gordo was really awesome when he was with Ray.The last few years Gordo isnt much better than Jr.So if Jr is OVERATED then the good ol 24 can only be a crash away.

I dont think we will ever see the old 24 again. The competition is so close. Its not the same since Ray left. Either Ray was real good or the competiton has improved. Jr seems to be happier without all the drama. Why does it seem that JGR, DEI Hendrick usually only have one car that really hits the set up all the time?? While I read and hear that the Roush cars almost all use the same set-ups.

BDR is garbage. Mikey is killing time. Mikey is building up MWR. He signed Bill Elliott to drive. It will be the Burger King #00 Monte Carlo this year. You guys all rip him and thats fine, just wait till yall see the napadominosbestwesternaaronsklaussnerfurniture...... Toyota Camry.

I just read Toyota hired some big shot from Ford and hired an engineer from Evernham. They are looking at signing Jarett. That would lend some credibillity to them

I think what hurt newman most is when they changed to softer tires. before he would stay out when everyone else pit near the end and he would be just as fast the cars with fresh tires. seems the softer rubber cut way down on fuel milage races.

Will Mikey run better on Toyotas dime or will he still be a mid pack runner? There is no doubting his ability to run at Daytona and 'Dega with good stuff but the other 95% of the races I don't know. I remember the last two years his brother ran and had to take so many past champions provisionals we renamed it the "DW". I'd hate to see anybody go out that way again. And yes, it looks like Toyota is starting to spend the money they said they wouldn't do.

On another note does anybody else find it funny that NASCAR is still sticking it to Robby Gordon for his attitude over the last few years? Robby pits under green and the yellow comes out for another invisable debris caution. He must have rubbed somedody that counts pretty raw in the past.

I don't know, when Ray left Jeff had 47 wins and 3 championships. Now he has 73 wins and another championship. That's 26 wins and a championship (which if they didn't change the point system he had the most points that year and would have had another championship) to compare to Jr.'s entire career consisting of 16 wins and no championships... I don't know that that's real comparable!!!

Actually the worst part is all the time Airjer waste running this league.

Airjer was awesome in the Equipment-Expert Information forum when he use to help us out with problems, mainly with his automotive expertise.

It has been said that this leage has stopped you from cheering for your favorite drivers and now you have to cheer for the drivers you don't like. Dosen't that mean your favotite drivers arent that good and maybe your realizing how good some of the other teams really are, like the Roush, Hendrick and Gibbs teams?

The drivers I usually cheer for are good.The reason I dont cheer for them is that I cheer for the picked drivers for that week.You cant pick the same drivers week after week so you have to pick alot of the drivers and teams that you dont care for.

I think my problem is that when I play a game,I play to win.I personally dont have much fun if I dont play well.My problem I guess.One always remembers that second place is the FIRST loser.So,true and I dont care to be him.

I guess that I play hard to win and that is not always the best thing to do,but thats me.

Nothing wrong with that Harvey Lee. My dad used to have a deal in his office that read, "Show me a really good loser, and I'll show you a loser." There is only one way to play, or race, or do most any competitive venture!!!
