The "Mice Repeller" post is back!

McGurk

Question

So I have heard Bounce fabric softener sheets, Moth balls, removal of canvas, and oil of peppermint for storage of portables. Let's hear some new info (good and bad) on any of these and more from people who have used them. The search I ran didn't present anything that had only good things to say about it.

Last year I did nothing when I stored my portable and had a large live trap close to it to entice the little buggers before they set up camp, and didn't have any problems.

Thanks and Good Luck! McGurk

The best and easiest way for me is to just take the canvas off the frame of the fishhouse and store it in a plastic tub with a top that seals. It takes about 5 minutes and is guarenteed not to get mice in it. I make sure the canvas is completely dry when I put it in the tub.
