luckey
Does anyone use a composting toilet in their cabin or hunting shack? We are looking at a non electric, waterless unit but would like to get information from some people who currently use one. Brand, effectiveness, problems, good points, etc. Thanks
0 jerkin'm
My buddy has one at his cabin and it does work slick...I think it is electric though as there is a fan that pulls air out...essentially dehydrating what goes in...Not sure on the brand but I could check if you are interested... 0 Ufatz
I have known several people who use them and they all report the units work just fine. But every once in a while they have to go to town, or some place civilized, to use a bathroom. Seems they just miss the satisfying sounds of a big ol' toilet flushing! Gllluuu Whooooossssssh!! It brings closure.
0 Surface Tension
If you have a cabin the non electric option makes sense because most folks turn the power off when they leave anyway. I know someone that had one at their cabin and it seemed to be able to handle a moderate weekend load. As with anything, I'm sure theres a point where it couldn't keep up, not sure what that threshold is. Do they have an industrial model?
