CAJ
You can catch Walleye, Perch, Pike, Bass and everything you get in Minnesota. Bring the boat and hunt along the shore and watch for Deer and Elk along the way. Lots of guys do that. Hunt toward the water, and pick guys and there Animals up there. Good way to go. BigSkyCatMan
Yes. Salmon are a big thing on Fort Peck Reservoir. The state record for Chinook Salmon (31.13 lbs.) and the Coho Salmon (4.88 lbs.) were both caught near the face of the dam.
fishduckdog
I'm supposed to meet up with some friends out that way this summer, for some camping and fishing. Are there other spots a guy can try for trout out that way? Thanks for any help.
cat ferret
There's good lake trout fishing in the reservoir itself and good rainbow fishing below the powerhouse.
Cheeser
I see the ice is out on the webcam - When did it leave? I'm planning an ice fishing trip out to Fort Peck next year, probably the 1st week of March - will there still be ice?? Looking down towards Hell Creek right now. fishduckdog
Thanks for the info Cat Ferret. I've been doing some checking, and it seems I'll have to bring my walleye gear too, when I head out that way.. I also plan on hitting the yellowtail dam also, had good times there in the past.
