EJ
I have 05 Yamaha F150 and T8 fourstrokes. I do my own oil and filters, but am looking for a good shop to do the recommended diagnostic and valve checks the manual says need to be done. I do not care much for my dealer's service dept. and would like to find someone else. I live in the SW metro. Any ideas? Thanks,EJ
Dusty
I have always used R&R marine which is near you. Maybe that is who you used in the past? They have a very fast turn around and always have done good work for me.

CorynTracySellHomes
Same Question!!!But how about for the northern suburbs? I have 2003 200 HPDI that needs to be looked at!Cory Frantzick
Ray Esboldt
I don't have a recommendation for Cory, sorry brother. I did just buy a boat from Rapids Sports Center/Minnesota Marine in East Bethel. I liked the guys I talked to there. However, I don't know if they have ever been a Yamaha dealer. However, I'll second R&R Marine in Shakopee. I live in White Bear Lake and have been known to haul my boat down there when necessary. Very good mechanics and really good guys. DTro
EJ,There is a guy out near Cedar Lake that runs his own shop. Boat Doctor Marine-Kevin Vrieze.I can give you his number, but I won't post contact info, you'll have to email me.He has done work for me a few times including a full rebuild which worked out very well.I would highly recommend him. CorynTracySellHomes
This maybe a dumb question, But, do you have to take the boat in for warranty work where you purchased it?Cory Frantzick
marine_man
You can take the motor to any dealer that carries the brand you have for warranty work... you may get better / quicker serivce at the dealer you bought it from, but any dealer who carries their motors would be able to perform the work.marine_man
CorynTracySellHomes
Thanks Marine Man!Having had my boat in to the shop where I purchased it in the past, and considering the service I recieved, I think I may take my chances elsewhere.Cory Frantzick
marine_man
Cory,I'm sure if you take it in now, or in their slower time it won't be a problem, and at most good dealers it shouldn't be a problem anyway, but I've heard of dealers who have the attitude that for warranty work, if you didn't buy it here we'll look at it when we have time...Again, for most good dealers this won't be a problem.. but I've heard of stranger things...marine_man
