bnbrk94
thanks gunflint. what are your likes and dislikes? are you able to tell the difference in bottom structure? is it enough power? i have a x51 now and this will be a big upgrade for me so i am kind of wondering what to expect. thanks. EJ
I have two in my boat and think they are great. 480 color pixels give great bottom defintion and the colorline really helps with bottom composition. Very easy to read bright screens with 3 light settings and basically infinite control of contrast. An added benefit is that I remove one for icefishing and it really shines there!EJ
gunflint
It's like EJ said, the bottom composition definition is very good. You can tell the difference between a hard bottom and a soft bottom. You can tell the difference between weeds, rocks, muck etc.
Murdock
Can anyone tell me the difference between the x102c and the x100c? The screen size appears the same as well as # of pixels. Thanks in advance for your input.
gunflint
I don't have any old catalogs to look at but I thought the pixel count on the X100c was 320 x 320.
bnbrk94
the pixels on the 100c are 320x240, and the 102c are 480x480.
kunk
I too would highly recommend it. With 3 light levels you can see the screen in any light conditions. Great bottom detail. I also have the H20 with the lakemaster chip. If you don't have the chip, get one. Great combination.
AQUAJOE
Which Eagle is comparable to the X102c? Ddo we have an FM sponsors that sell these units at a decent price??
PerchJerker
I don't think there is an Eagle that matches up exactly with the Lowrance 102, but the 500c or 640c would be the two closest units. I have a buddy that went with the FishMark 500c sonar and the Eagle Intellimap 500c gps because they fit his budget and they are nice units. For the last several years I have bought my electronics from Jolly Ann. - lots of guys on FM here are happy with the H2Oc / LakeMaster chip deal that Wade offered here a few months ago. PerchJerker
I don't know anything about those units or the differences between them. Send Wade an email, he is extremely helpful.
