0 Northlander
Im thinking about getting a 25c. 7" screen and has everything I need. Im hoping the boatshow prices are good enough to get me into one.
0 Tom Linderholm
Funny Steve, I am looking to pick a 25 up at the boat show also. Maybe we should go together and put our heads together for a better price form the MG booth.
0 ScottND
I've seen lcx-25C's for $884.00. What's the best you've seen?
0 get-the-net
Perfect timing again boys! I was just going to post a question regarding the prices I've seen for globalmap 6500's on an online auction site. Does anyone know if Lowrance is coming out with something radically new? I have to imagine that there must be some reason that dealers are getting rid of their old stock because I can pick one up for around $820. I paid almost that much for each lcx I own! The globalmaps used to be around 1200-1500 at the start of last years fishing season. I already have a lcx-18c on the bow and lcx-20c at the tiller, and just want a bigger screen to serve as a mapping unit with my chip. Uh-O, I think I'm gonna need a bigger alternator
0 Tom Linderholm
$1249 with dual freq transducer and GPS module, hoping to get it to $1100. ND if you can get the whole package for that then I would jump on it.
0 ScottND
That's just for the base unit...no transducer or antenna.
0 get-the-net
Scott, have you checked out HSOList lately? I found two on there right now for under 1100. Dual freq, includes antenna, BIN 999.00 Worth taking a look...
0 get-the-net
Sorry, I didn't mean to leave you out Cheffery and Northlander.
0 Northlander
No problem. Cheffery it may be a July Birthday present for me. I dont have a Grand plus to toss out now. The better half would be putting a matress in the garage if I did it now. Ill sell my other 2 graphs and see what I come up with. Ill keep the 15 for the bow. 0 ChuckN
Be careful on hsolist with some of those items. There are high priced sonar units with MSRP over $2,000 and the ad says to email a person and purchase it directly for $500. These are 24 hour auctions too. Turns out they reply via email saying send $500 via Western Union and once payment is received the product will be shipped from Europe. That has scam written all over it...once you send via Western Union, you just kissed all that money good bye. It also appears these scammers are hijacking hsolist users accounts somehow. Sonar units are listed for sale in women's apparrel - purse sections of hsolist.... Scammers need to go.
0 Northlander
Ya HSOList aint safe anymore. Ill never buy a high ticket item from there. Why cant HSOList police this better? I know its probably not that simple but they should be able to do something shouldnt they? Im no computer expert by any means so maybe Im ignorent here? 0 Xplorer
Hey Steve/Cheffrey, Boatshow price will be 1099 for the 25c, was at MG over lunch and they were moving everything out for the next 3-4 weeks of shows. The premium chip will be 129 they said.
0 Northlander
Ya thats as cheap as I have seen it anywhere. What does everyone have to say about the new 334c with the gps antena built into it? May be worth a look as well.
0 Tom Linderholm
ChuckN I agree, I took a look at what this guy was offering with a great feedback rating and noted there is no way this oculd be true with listing high expense items at a minimum cost with limited past sales. The guy was listing 3 items a minute for all of his items to end in about a hours times.

After looking at Cabelas today and knowing Minn Kota now owns Hummingbird I had to look. (the word is they also have Bottom Line and Cannon downriggers ) I think I'm going to go with a Hummingbird sonar and a lowrance plotter so I can run Lakemaster cards. 0 Northlander
You can run Lakemaster in your Lowrances too just not the new Navionics in the older ones.
0 get-the-net
I'm glad you mentioned the whole "email me now for a price" scam that has been going on recently. Yes, they've been hijacking accounts. I've been emailing the owners of the accounts that get hijacked and letting them know that someone has their password. A few people have written back to me, one guy said his account was stolen after he responded to one of those "your account has to be updated" emails. The scammers put the auctions in other catagories to hide them from the owner and from hsolist. One guy did his part by bidding on the auctions with the username: THIS_IS_A_SCAM_LOOK_AT_THE_CATAGORY. The scammers just switched to private auctions so the bidders names don't show up. I don't worry about using hsolist when I use a credit card, not my check card mind you. And I will NEVER settle a transaction off of hsolist- no matter how good the deal is. I wish hsolist did a better job of policing their store. I've tried writing to them, but you just get an automated response. Still, some of the deals I've found there have been awesome. You just have to be careful.
