Otter Sled help.. Otter 2?

What is the difference between Otter and Otter 2 sleds if any.

I want to buy an Otter Magnum Sled is there any difference between this years and older year sleds.

How much would one pay for a new Otter Magnum Sled I have a lead on a used but new this year Otter Magnum Sled for $75 not sure if it's an Otter 2 or not.

I will be adding the Otter canvas at a later time so I want the right sled.

I have the original Otter Magnum sled (and new Mag II sled and fishhouse) that is about 8 years old or more (?) and the Otter II fishhouse frame/skin will not work on the old sled design.

I contacted Otter years ago and there is no house skin available for the old sleds anymore.

Difference between the 2? I don't know without measuring. The old Otter sled did not have molding in the front for a hitch. It was a bracket that bolted onto the front of the sled.

The Otter II has a molded area in the front for a hitch.

If you go to the store and look at the new II models, compare to the one you are looking at.

There is a distinct difference in the mold. Or go to the HSOforum and peek at them...the measurements are all there with pics and prices.

Thanks Chuck, it has the Hitch moldings so I should be good to go.

Does around $70 for the sled sound good I think they retail at $129.

Yeah, that's a good price as long as it's not beat up. But as old as my wood hauler Otter sled is, and it's still in excellent shape...it will last many, many years.

I think you are thinking of the plastic sleds (black) at Like Farm and Fleet. Best you go back and check on the Otter Sleds.....I really doubt you will find them, at least the Otter 2 size for anywhere near that money.

I believe the sled he was looking at was a slightly used but new style otter, and that seems like a fair price.

I did pick up an otter 2 magnum for under $90. Otter Lodge skin for $245.

The Gander Mtn. Stores in some locations are having good sales right now on winter fish houses. Can't remember the exact prices listed but might be worth checking one out.
